Yin Yoga Zürich

Yin Yoga is a gentle and calming practice that focuses on long-held poses and stretches. Yin Yoga is one of the many styles of yoga that I teach in my classes in Zürich.

I'm so in love with Yin Yoga! For me, it's one of the best practices for letting go of stress and tension. I'm particularly fond of adding some Yin Yoga at the end of my yoga practice. It makes me feel so cozy and I sleep so much better afterwards. That is why I try to infuse some elements of this practice into my classes.

What are the benefits of yin yoga?

By holding each pose for 3-5 minutes or longer, you will gently stimulate the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, fascia, and joints, helping to improve mobility and range of motion. This will in turn helps you to release tension and increase flexibility in your body.

Yin Yoga can:

  • Increase flexibility: The slow and steady approach of Yin Yoga allows you to safely and gently stretch your muscles, which can lead to increased flexibility over time.

  • Reduce stress and anxiety: The calming and meditative nature of Yin Yoga helps to reduce stress and anxiety, leaving you feeling relaxed and centered.

  • Improve joint mobility: Yin Yoga can help to improve the mobility of your joints by gently stimulating the tissues surrounding them.

  • Enhance circulation: The long holds in Yin Yoga can help to improve blood flow and circulation throughout the body, promoting overall health and wellness.

  • Deepen meditation practice: The slow and mindful movements in Yin Yoga can help to deepen your meditation practice and cultivate a sense of inner peace.
